Omaha -
The Omaha Junior Lancers finished as runner-up in the U16 Tier 2 USA National hockey in Buffalo, New York on Sunday.
Detriot’s Belle Tire defeated the Lancers 5-3. Only 2 Omaha Junior Lancer teams have qualified for Nationals and this year’s U16 Minor AA team finished second in the Nation. Congratulations to Coach Wilkie, Coach Nielsen, Coach Stratchan, and Luke Marta, Ben Maenner, Nick Schelcht, Brett Bass, Max Reavis, Brandon Reilly, Josh Pijewski, Ethan Blackledge, Tyler O’Connor, Zach Rehmeier, Nate Place, Tyler Robison, Baxter Stratchan, Collin Hodges, Ryan Killeen, Timmy Mollak and Andrew Barton. Way to work together team. Congratulations on a VERY SUCCESSFUL Hockey Season!
OMAHA JUNIOR LANCERS IN THE U16 TIER2 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS

BUFFALO, NEW YORK -
The Omaha Junior Lancers were down 2 goals with a 1:11 left in the third period, Coach Wilkie called a time out. In an unbelievable effort, the Junior Lancers tied the game 4-4 before the period ended to force an overtime. The 10 minute overtime ended quickly when the Junior Lancers completed their comeback when Max Reavis scored the game winning goal. They now move onto the National Final U16 finals Sunday morning against Belle Tire at 9 a.m. EST. Good Luck Lancers!
Omaha Junior Lancers in Final 4

NEW YORK -
The Omaha Junior Lancers took control early in the first period and maintained the lead when taking on the # 1 seed, Dakota Starz this morning at 7:45 a.m. EST. Both goals came in the first period from #57, Ryan Killeen. Assisting with team goals were Zach Rehmeier, Ben Maenner, Collin Hodges, and Tyler Robison. The Starz scored their only goal in the 2nd period. With a 2-1 Junior Lancer win, the Junior Lancers are headed into the Final 4 game tonight at 5:45 p.m. EST.
CSDHL Jr. Lancer’s Announce U-16 & U-18 Try-Outs

CENTRAL STATES DEVELOPMENTAL HOCKEY LEAGUE
O.M.A.H.A. Jr. Lancers Midget Minor U-16 and Midget Major U-18 teams have been selected to participate in the Central States Hockey League. This is an excellent opportunity for our young men to showcase their hockey skills at the Elite AA level. The CSDHL is a well established league which has top AA teams from Chicago and St.Louis.
Who is Eligible:
U-16 (players born in 1992 and 1993)
U-18 (players born in 1992, 1991, & 1990)

Junior Lancers play hard fought game in NY

The Omaha Junior Lancers took on the Rhode Island Saints Thursday afternoon with a 6-4 loss.
With six minutes left in the game, the Rhode Island Saints tied the game 4-4. The Saints scored
in the next few minutes to bring the score to 5-4. The Omaha Junior Lancers pulled their goalie with less than a minute to
go to score the final goal of the game. The Lancers played a hard fought game. They play again tomorrow morning at
7:45 am EST.
Jr. Lancer Minors home from Silver Stick Tournament

The Jr. Lancer U16 Minors arrived home on Sunday, December 30th after playing 6 games in the Silver Stick Qualifier in Lombard, Illinois. With one tie and 4 wins, the team came up short in the final championship game against the 4th ranked Orland Park. The team ended up as the Regional Finalist runner-up and received medals and a banner for their tremendous efforts! Congratulations team!
Junior Lancers win First Game at Nationals

The Omaha Junior Lancers won their first game at Nationals with a 3-2 win against the South Boston Shamrocks.
Ryan Killeen scored 2 goals and had 1 assist and Max Reavis scored to give the Lancers their first win in New York.
The Lancers take on the Rhode Island SAINTS today at 12:15 EST. Look in the Omaha World Herald for more Lancer updates.
