Mites (8U)
WELCOME TO THE 2024/2025 OMAHA HOCKEY CLUB 8U MITE HOUSE SEASON
We are looking forward to a great year of hockey and skill development. Below are a few key updates about the upcoming season. Check back here and our OHC Mite Division Facebook page for updates throughout the season.
Season Start: Tuesday September 24th
Season end: Sunday March 2nd
Evaluations: Evaluations will be held September 24th and 26th. This is not a tryout, this is an evaluation to see where the player's skill levels are. After the evaluations, teams will be drafted and you will be notified of your team and specific practice schedule.
Games and Practice: The season will consist of two games during a one hour session on ether Tuesday or Thursday nights, a one hour ADM practice on Sunday mornings, and a one hour team practice every other Saturday morning at Motto.
Additional information: The week prior to September 24th all registered members will receive an email laying out season expectations to include information regarding specific evaluation date/time.
Jersey Orders
If your player was in IP last season, they may have purchased a WHITE jersey. For Mites, they will need both, a WHITE and a BLACK jersey. As a first-year Mite, you may need to purchase a BLACK jersey only. (You may need a white jersey too if yours from last season does not fit, or you never purchased one.)
If you have OHC Jr Mavs jerseys that still fit your player, you DO NOT need to purchase new jerseys. If your player has outgrown his/her jersey, please continue to complete the jersey purchase form.
**All Mite players will get a pair of black socks**

Our programs are 100% run by volunteers. If you would like to help in any capacity please use the link below. We need both on-ice and off-ice help.
Mite Select Travel Team Tryouts
Tryouts will be held at Moylan Ice
8/20/24 @ 6:30pm
8/21/24 @ 6:30pm
- Players in our Mite Program can choose to try out for our competitive Mite 8U Select Travel teams.
- The team will practice 2-3 times weekly and participate in ADM sessions. They do not participate in the House program.
- The team will participate in 5-8 local and travel tournaments through the season (no more than 4-5 hours away).

Welcome to the 2024- 2025 Omaha Hockey Mites 8U Registration with the Omaha Hockey Club.
This registration session will allow you to provide contact information, sign consents, and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.
* DO NOT FILL OUT THIS REGISTRATION IF YOUR PLAYER IS TEYING OUT FOR MITE TRAVEL. Please wait until you find out if they make that team as this registration will not be used for any player on Mite Travel.
Each Player must register first with USA Hockey and then return to this Registration Session to signup for the 2024-2025 Season.
